GENERAL

Do I have to pay to attend Share the Shred?

Depends! If you want first dibs on gear, join us for Early Bird access on Friday from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. The cost for entry is $5/person which supports the Glacier Fire & Rescue Volunteer Association. 

After Early Bird access ends, Share the Shred is free to enter on Friday evening and Saturday.


What payment methods are accepted?

Cash, check, and Venmo will be accepted.


Can I return an item?

All sales are final, so inspect items carefully before purchasing.


SELLING YOUR GEAR

When and where do I drop off my gear?

You can drop off your gear at Glacier Fire & Rescue Station 96 (9953 Mt. Baker Highway) on the following dates:

o Sunday, November 1st, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

o Wednesday, November 4th, 2:00 – 5:00 PM

o Sunday, November 8th, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

o Wednesday November 11th, 2:00 – 5:00 PM


How is my gear priced?

You set the price for your items. 

Note that 20% of your sale will support the Glacier Fire & Rescue Volunteer Association. 


What can I sell?

Gear Accepted (all ages and genders)

· Skis

· Ski boots

· Ski Bindings (must be on the indemnification list)

· Ski poles

· Snowboards

· Snowboard bindings

· Snowboard boots

· Cross Country Skis

· Cross Country Boots

· Cross Country Bindings

· Telemark skis

· Telemark bindings

· Telemark boots

· Outerwear

· Clothing

    o Jacket

    o Pants

    o Bibs

    o Gloves/mittens

    o Socks (new with tags)

    o Thermals/Base layers  (new with tags)

    o Goggles

    o Hats

· Boot bags

· Ski bag

· Snowboard bag

· Snowshoes

· Backpacks (no avalanche airbag packs)


IMPORTANT APPAREL POLICY: All clothing, jackets, gloves, and soft goods MUST be freshly laundered, completely dry, and free of stains/colors/odors. Items that are damp, dirty, or smell will be rejected at check-in. No duct tape.  




What gear is prohibited? 

Items that will NOT be accepted:

GEAR

o Helmets

o Damaged skis or snowboards (deep core-shots, edge peeling, rusted-out edges, or delamination)

o Non-indemnified bindings

o Worn-out or cracked boots

o Avalanche Safety Gear

    § Airbags

    § Transceivers

    § Probes

o Radios

o Obsolete or vintage equipment

CLOTHING

o Used or worn socks, underwear/base layers


How do I get paid when my gear sells?

Checks, as well as any unsold gear, will be available for pickup on Sunday, November 15th at Glacier Fire & Rescue, Station 96.


How do I prepare my equipment for sale?

Please review your items at home before you bring them to be submitted. Preparing your gear will give you a chance to decide whether an item is worth selling or should be donated or discarded. In general, items need to be clean.
